Seasonal - Orthopedic Research

A seasonal position available in the Orthopedic Surgery Bone Health Lab. The lab specializes in determining the effect of genetic conditions, diseases, drugs, and aging on bone strength and elasticity.

Seasonal Hires are a temporary status and therefore may not be employed for a period of more than four and ½ months. These individuals may be hired either as full-time or part-time and must be a minimum age of 16 years.

The position duties may include:

• Sample Processing:
  Assist with the collection, labeling, logging, and storage of biological or tissue samples (e.g., blood, bone specimens, or cell cultures).
• Data Management:
  Input experimental data, bone density metrics, or patient registry information accurately into laboratory spreadsheets and databases.
• Inventory Control:
  Monitor inventory levels of standard lab supplies and chemical reagents, notifying senior staff when items need restocking.
