Provides expertise in support of research projects in socialscience, behavioral science, or humanities, including psychology,sociology, education, etc. Performs advanced testing procedures,data collection, and analysis. Prepares reports. May work withhuman subjects and contribute to grant proposal development.

Ensures experiments are performed according to specifications.

Understands and applies fundamental theoretical concepts. Developsunderstanding of advanced theoretical concepts.

• May make recommendations to changes in procedure, processes, orexperimental design.
• May prepare and/or edit research papers, proposals and reports.

The Researcher 1 Social Behavioral Science is responsible for working with the PI and PD in the implementation of human subjects research conducted with men and women in the ALMA Study. Incumbentwill be responsible for data collection. Incumbent will describe the study procedures to potential participants, evaluateeligibility, obtain informed consent as appropriate, scheduleparticipants, and oversee the completion of computer-assistedstructured interviews on physical and mental health behaviors.

Additionally, Incumbent will be responsible for tracking and maintaining subjects’ contact information, scheduling and conducting follow-up assessments, and obtaining EMA data. Incumbentwill attend weekly online meetings with remote leadership.

Researcher 1 Social Behavioral Science. will also perform other project-related tasks as assigned. This position is for one yearwith the possibility for renewal, as this is a multi yearproject.

Experience will be considered in lieu of education.

Education will be considered in lieu of experience.

Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree froma college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.

Experience:

Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience.
