We are looking for a full-time baker to join our team! If you are looking for a dynamic environment where you will be preparing delectable desserts and breads for our 3,000 events per year - this opportunity could be for you! Reporting to the Executive Pastry Chef, the pastry chef works with a team of 8 to create all of the delectable desserts and breads that we provide to our Members.

Full-time position | AM & PM shifts | $18.00-$19.00/hour | Excellent Benefits | Distinctive Employee Amenities

• Executes banquet events of up to 500 people
• Prepares all baked goods, pastries and other bakery items per production
• Oversees pastry cart and buffet dessert table set-up and presentation
• Helps maintain the cleanliness of bake shop
• Schedules production of baked goods to maintain an inventory of freshly baked goods at all times
• Prepares and serves items in accordance with established recipe and presentation standards
• Sets up, maintains and breaks down work station
• Notifies Executive Pastry Chef in advance of expected product shortages
• Requisition s supplies as needed to prepare menu items
• Ensures that work area is safe and secure
• Maintains neat professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules at all times
• Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations
• Maintains the highest sanitary conditions

3-5 years’ experience in a from scratch production bakery

Able to take direction well from supervisors. Responds well to suggestions from others

Able to focus on timing, organization and sanitation

Detail-oriented – you understand that the little things count

Acts with the Members in mind. Naturally able to anticipate the needs/wants of Members

Is a timely and effective communicator to Members and co-workers
