The Server role at Alma Fajitas & Ritas is a full-time, on-site position located in Houston, TX. Servers greet guests, present menus, take food and beverage orders, and deliver items accurately and in a timely manner. They provide knowledgeable recommendations, answer questions about the menu, and ensure guests have a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience. Daily responsibilities include setting and resetting tables, maintaining a clean and organized service area, processing payments, and following opening and closing procedures.

Servers collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams, uphold food safety and hygiene standards, and support special events and busy service periods as needed.

• Candidates should possess strong customer service and hospitality skills, including a friendly demeanor, active listening, and a guest-focused mindset.
• Candidates should possess communication and teamwork skills, including clear verbal communication, professionalism, and the ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidates should possess organization and multitasking skills, including time management, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tables and requests at once.
• Candidates should possess basic math and point-of-sale (POS) skills, including handling cash and cards accurately and processing orders and payments efficiently.
• Previous restaurant or food service experience is beneficial; familiarity with Mexican-inspired cuisine and beverages is a plus.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, carry trays or dishes safely, and follow food safety and hygiene guidelines.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, with a reliable and punctual work ethic.
