- As a Selling Demo Representative, you’ll sell products through various selling and hospitality events to educate and inform Customers of product features to drive customer engagement and sales.
- Engage Customers with enthusiasm, sharing product knowledge, samples, and savings information; find opportunities to surprise and delight Customers.
- Provide excellent customer service; answer product-related questions; help Customers locate merchandise.
- Review educational materials and experience products prior to each scheduled event.
- Ensure all selling material, including signage and coupons, is printed and displayed to support customer engagement.
- Prepare, stage, execute, and close events, including product, equipment, supplies, safety needs, marketing materials, sample payment, and scheduling system updates.
- Prepare products for use in demonstrations / samplings.
- Review daily sales reports and understand success metrics.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and H-E-B food safety regulations and department SOPs daily.
- Attend required food safety and related trainings.
- Maintain a professional, clean, healthy, and safe work environment.
- Cleans workstation area and assist other sales Partners as needed.
- Minimum age 18 (mandatory).
- Experience in sales or customer service.
- Experience in product demonstration (preferred).
- Knowledge of sales or product demonstration (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate all product ingredients and recipe components to inform Customers with allergy or dietary concerns.
- Ability to read and interpret documents.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between projects.
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours.
- A passion for customer service and hospitality.
- Constantly stand, reach at waist, and grasp.
- Occasionally walk, reach overhead, reach at shoulder, reach at knee, reach at floor, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, climb stairs, pivot, twist, and push/pull with arms.
- Occasionally be exposed to cold and hot temperatures, loud noise, and wet conditions.
- Demonstrate the ability to lift 35 lbs, and manage more than 25 lbs in some cases.
- Understand typical daily time-and-task measurements (Constantly: 5.5+ hours; Frequently: 2.5-5.5 hours; Occasionally: 0-2.5 hours).
- Never lift beyond personal safe lifting limit; break down heavy items or seek assistance as needed.
