• Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required system start‑ups and cash handling, and ensure the floor and stock room are ready for the business day. Responsible for opening the back door for deliveries.
• Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolve issues, and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with all team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Hold store keys to open and close without management as necessary.
• Assist with and coach other team members on the vendor ordering process, openings of the backdoor for deliveries, and reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics.
• Register all related sales on the assigned cash register, including records of scanning errors, price verifications, items not in file, price modifications, and voids.
• Assist manager or assistant store manager in evaluating and developing displays, completing resets and revisions.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts in the basic departments, stockroom, and overstock locations.
• Assist in ensuring the Outdate program is followed.
• Manage basic department pricing and make daily price changes, ensuring proper signage and compliance with local regulations.
• Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash reports, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring a clean, neat, orderly store condition and requesting repairs as needed.
• Assist with separation of food items and product placement, and perform stock rotation using the first‑in‑first‑out method.
• Use store systems and equipment effectively.
• Assist at the pharmacy window as requested.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Conduct bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

• Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the manager.

• Serve as a liaison between management and non‑management team members by communicating assigned tasks when store management is absent.
• Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).

• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• Consideration of qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records.
• Valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
