• Proficient in reading and writing Spanish and English, interacting with the general public and co‑workers.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one or small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense in carrying out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Ability to lift 25–45 lbs regularly, up to 60 lbs occasionally.

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate.

Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, the Grocery Clerk will provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service. Duties include assisting customers, cleaning display cases and shelves, and maintaining self‑serve displays. The role requires flexibility to work a variety of hours, including nights and weekends, and includes heavy lifting, bending, and stooping for extended periods. The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store with physical demands such as lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, and visual and auditory requirements.
