Hybrid role based in Houston, Chicago, or Pittsburgh. Requires presence at the office at least three days per week.

Job Overview

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Health and Benefits Sales team. As a Senior Employee Benefits (Health & Benefits) Sales Consultant, you will leverage Mercer’s expertise to develop innovative sales strategies addressing healthcare, financial security, and career development for employers and their employees.

Responsibilities
  • Apply deep market and internal service insights to cold calls to engage potential clients, generate interest, and schedule meetings or presentations.
  • Create compelling sales proposals, presentations and RFP responses that meet complex prospect needs and communicate business value.
  • Lead complex sales processes from identification to closing, including pricing negotiations, product discussions, and securing beneficial financial outcomes for the business.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree.
  • Strong track record of achieving sales goals.
  • Experience selling to companies with 100–5,000 employees in the benefits space.
  • Knowledge of the Employee Benefits or Health and Benefits consulting industry and products.
  • Wide network and ability to access C‑suite executives.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $97,000 – $194,500. Performance‑based incentives may apply.

Competitive total rewards package includes health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, 401(k) savings, retirement programs, and employee assistance programs.
