Our client is expanding their footprint across North America and South America. They are a global manufacturer of engineered industrial cooling solutions with a strong presence in power generation, petrochemical, oil and gas, HVAC, data centers and other heavy industrial sectors.
This role requires a candidate with solid mechanical aptitude who can manage existing customer relationships while developing new business within a long and consultative sales cycle. The work is heavily relationship focused and requires confidence engaging with engineers, project managers and senior decision makers at industrial facilities and EPC firms.
Key Responsibilities for This Role- Manage and grow relationships with OEM customers, EPC firms and industrial end users.
- Conduct technical sales conversations focused on fan performance system requirements and application needs while relying on engineering teams for deeper analysis.
- Handle a mix of approximately sixty percent account management and forty percent new business development.
- Navigate long sales cycles that involve specifications, approvals and coordination with multiple stakeholders.
- Conduct onsite client visits, attend trade shows and participate in annual meetings with European leadership, which includes a one‑week onboarding trip to Italy.
- Understand the client’s product portfolio and position it effectively against alternatives in the market.
Candidates will not need direct axial fan experience. We are looking for people with similar engineered product backgrounds:
- Cooling towers, heat exchangers, dry cooling solutions.
- Rotating equipment: compressors, pumps, filtration systems or other engineered industrial equipment.
- Experience selling into power generation, petrochemical refining or similar heavy industrial markets.
- Experience selling into large EPC firms including Jacobs, Worley, McDermott, Fluor or Kiewit.
- Experience with data centers is a plus due to rapid growth in this segment.
- At least five years of technical industrial sales experience with engineered products.
- Ability to understand mechanical concepts and translate them into customer conversations.
- Strong relationship building skills and comfort with long, multi‑step sales cycles.
- Ability to travel approximately thirty percent.
- Clear communication confidence on the phone and professionalism with high‑level customers.
- Base salary up to $150,000 depending on experience.
- Performance‑based bonus in the range of 15% to 25%.
