Now Hiring Immediately – Part-Time Weekend Security Officer (High-Rise Office Building)

Location: Houston, TX 77024 Employer: United Protective Services Pay Rate: $16.00–$16.50/hour, based on experience

Set Schedule — 16 Hours Weekly:

• Saturday: 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
• Sunday: 2:00 PM–10:00 PM

United Protective Services is seeking a professional and dependable Part-Time Weekend Security Officer for a high-rise office building. This position combines lobby/front desk coverage with property patrols and requires strong customer service skills, attentiveness, and reliability.

The Security Officer will maintain a visible, professional presence while assisting tenants and visitors, monitoring building access, and conducting interior, exterior, and parking garage patrols. Officers must exercise sound judgment and work independently while following site post orders.

• Provide lobby/front desk coverage and greet tenants and visitors
• Monitor building access and assist with authorized after-hours entry
• Conduct interior, exterior, and multi-level parking garage patrols
• Monitor CCTV and report suspicious activity
• Check doors and access points for proper closure and security
• Identify and report safety hazards, lighting outages, and maintenance concerns
• Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies in accordance with post orders
• Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation in Vision Insites
• Communicate concerns to the patrol supervisor and provide a thorough shift pass-down
• Maintain a professional appearance and courteous demeanor

• Minimum one year of security, concierge, customer service, or related experience preferred
• Active Level II or Level III Security License
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must reside within a 20-mile radius of ZIP Code 77024
• Availability to work both Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to use a smartphone or computer to complete reports
• Comfortable walking and standing for extended periods
• Comfortable conducting exterior and parking garage patrols during afternoon and evening hours
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
