As a Security Guard Full Time Patrol Access Control in Houston, TX
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help deter security-related incidents, manage access control, and support a welcoming environment through professional communication and customer service. You will contribute to a reliable team that responds to site needs with integrity, care, and innovation while helping maintain orderly operations.

Pay Rate: $14.71 / Hour

• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established chemical and petrochemical facility protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, access points, parking areas, and operational zones to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and report access concerns according to site procedures.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and observations in required reports and promptly communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
