Senior Onsite Technician

Job Summary

Next Gen Security, LLC is looking for a Security Systems Maintenance Technician – Onsite to support and maintain our electronic security systems across integrated security projects. The position is located in Houston, Texas and is a full‑time employee role.

This role involves field project oversight, system programming, project activation and commissioning, installation of field devices, and troubleshooting and maintenance of high‑end integrated security devices. The technician will travel locally as required.

• Field project oversight and installation of high‑end integrated security devices.
• System programming, activation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Maintenance and repair of electronic security systems.
• Travel to client sites for project activation and ongoing maintenance.

• Minimum 5 years of experience installing and maintaining enterprise‑level access control and video management (IP‑based) systems.
• Strong networking and IT knowledge.
• Superior problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with local electronic security codes and industry standards.
• Safe work practices and ability to operate a company vehicle.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Project) and related tools.

• Vendor certifications for access control and video management systems (e.g., American Dynamics, Genetec).
• Experience with network design, implementation, and operating system administration.
