What you will have an opportunity to do:

As a Hotel General Maintenance Engineer, you play a crucial role in performing routine and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel to ensure the proper functioning of all facilities and equipment, ensuring a attractive and comfortable environment for guests and staff.

This individual performs a variety of maintenance trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment, HVAC, Painting, wall repair, tile work and upkeep of the preventative maintenance program of the resort/hotel. You will be working closely with different members of our team, so you will need to have a sense of urgency when needed and an engaging attitude.

This is a Full-Time position that requires open availability to work any day of the week, both AM and PM shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Schedules may change weekly based on business demands.

Specifically, this role includes these primary responsibilities, including but not limited to:
* Perform routine inspections and maintenance on hotel facilities, including guest rooms, common areas, and mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
* Troubleshoot and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and HVAC systems.
* Ensure proper operation of all hotel equipment, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, boilers, plumbing, pool equipment and HVACs.
* Installing, repair and maintaining all types of wiring (electrical, data, communication, etc.), and lighting/intercom systems.
* Perform diagnostics on electrical components and/or controls of machinery or other commercial equipment.
* Troubleshoot and repair issues related to a variety of trades, including electrical systems, appliances, and HVAC systems.
* Respond with a sense of urgency to maintenance requests from guests and staff, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
* Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and provide room status updates to minimize disruptions to hotel operations.
* Adhere to safety standards and regulations, following lock-out/tag out and other safety measures to ensure a safe work environment for all employees and guests.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the management.

Supportive Functions:
The hotel functions seven (7) days a week and twenty-four (24) hours per day.
