Siemens and the UA National Plumbers and Pipe fitters Union operate under a Master Agreement regarding HVAC mechanical work, ensuring competitive wages, benefits, and pension. All candidates will either need to be a Union Member or if they have valid Trade experience, they will need an approved authorization to work under our Bargaining Agreement from the Union. Siemens will share information and coordinate with the union to ensure candidates operate under our Bargaining Agreement for Compensation, Pension, Health & Welfare.

Candidates will provide the completed authorization to Siemens, prior to starting work. Siemens will make Payments in accordance with our Agreement, on behalf of the successful candidate to the Union.

As an HVAC Apprentice, you will:

• Perform work under general supervision, conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, general servicing and troubleshooting of mechanical HVAC systems
• Be responsible for high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on-site, and customer interface
• Properly complete required project and service documentation.
• Change and service filters
• Oil and grease mechanical components
• Adjust or replace belts
• Clean cooling towers, coils, chiller evaporator and condenser tubes
• Maintain other mechanical systems operation under contract with Siemens customer base
• Work with our field quoting team to provide parts information, equipment data and labor hours needed for quoted repairs to be accurately quoted by the FQC.
• Establish & maintain a positive relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers through effective oral and written communication skills via phone, computer, and in person.
• Use OEM software and technology, along with a variety of hand-tools, rigging equipment, following blueprints or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair equipment
• Enforce Safety to the highest standards. Take accountability for the Siemens Safety Program by recording Safety Audits and ensuring you are working within compliance standards.
• Work as part of a team who is dedicated to delivering the highest standard of service to all Siemens customers. This may require the flexibility to work overtime and weekends as the business requires, including occasional overnight stays.
• Apprentices are governed by the local union agreement, and they will perform all pneumatic control systems and mechanical equipment service and all other work coming under this Agreement assigned by the Employer, limited only by their capabilities as determined by the Employer, at the respective apprentice rate of pay, and shall perform all assigned work under the direction of the Employer.

• Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with handheld computer (i.e. Smartphone, computer)
• Compliance to company Safety program
• Valid driver's license
• Universal EPA Certification
• Membership in good standing with the Local Union or ability to obtain Union authorization/membership.

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• In this role, you will be employed by the local union. Your pay rate will be determined by the local union wage schedule and agreement.
