Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Fire Alarm System Service Technician to lead the implementation and maintenance of fire alarm systems for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 5+ years of fire safety equipment service experience, and a strong commitment to safety and customer relationships.
Responsibilities- Service, inspect, and test fire alarm systems to manufacturer specifications.
- Provide mentorship and on‑the‑job training to junior technicians, ensuring development of technical skills and adherence to company standards.
- Perform on‑site emergency troubleshooting, programming, and repairs of fire alarm systems.
- Analyze blueprints, schematics, and drawings of fire alarm systems and related electrical systems.
- Diagnose problems or failures in assigned systems to identify equipment and/or system repair needs.
- Commission systems, including loading software programs and implementing modifications.
- Document commissioning details; communicate deficiencies and progress.
- Create detailed test and inspection reports based on code requirements and customer needs.
- Maintain comprehensive working knowledge of fire alarm codes and standards.
- Identify code and non‑conformance issues.
- Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material.
- Valid Texas driver’s license with a safe driving record (no violations within the past 3 years).
- NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level II or above.
- Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and applying system design plans, building construction drawings, and documents.
- Ability to differentiate types and colors of electrical wire.
- Proven electro‑mechanical aptitude and PC/software skill.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
