Full‑time position providing painting services with responsibilities including identifying repair and maintenance needs, preparing, painting, staining and/or wallpapering a variety of surfaces, ensuring project completion in accordance with trade standards, and assisting other maintenance staff.
Essential Functions- Paint interior and exterior surfaces (walls, doors, woodwork, ceilings, hand railings, stair casings, signs, etc.).
- Prepare surfaces for painting (cleaning, taping, bedding, sanding, patching cracks and holes, texturing).
- Erect scaffolding, remove furnishings and cover carpeting before painting; clean and restore area afterward.
- Work with various types of paints, solvents, lacquers, enamels, stains and varnishes; match colors and textures on adjacent surfaces.
- Clean brushes and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained.
- Monitor buildings and facilities, evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs and recommend preventive maintenance.
- Paint a variety of surfaces (e.g., buildings, parking‑lot line striping and markings, floors, lockers) to maintain facilities in an attractive, safe and usable condition.
- Provide information to supervisor to order needed supplies and assist in maintaining inventory of paint, supplies and equipment.
- Prepare surfaces, furniture, fixtures and cabinets (e.g., stripping, cleaning, sanding, patching, masking, nail holes, cracks, joints) for painting or refinishing.
- Prepare requisitions for paint supplies and equipment.
- Observe safety regulations and safe work practices; ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials.
- Participate in meetings, workshops and trainings to convey and/or gather information required for job functions.
- Complete work orders accurately and timely.
- Keep shop and work area clean, organized and free of debris.
- Cleans and reorganizes after every job/repair.
- Properly store chemicals, paint, flammables and equipment.
- Follow all OSHA safety guidelines.
- Assure proper use and handling of ladders, tools and equipment.
- Respond to calls from staff and members for maintenance and other needs.
- Assist maintenance crew as needed on tasks such as moving materials, equipment and cleanliness.
- Perform all work related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
- Occasional interaction with members and vendors.
- Worker is subject to hot, humid and/or cold temperatures.
- Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm; schedule may change based on business needs.

- Minimum 2‑year experience as a painter.
- Minimum High School or GED preferred.
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Knowledge/ability to learn paint color matching and texture matching.
- Knowledge of methods, techniques, materials, tools and equipment of the painting trade.
- Knowledge of preparing wood, metal, plaster and other surfaces for finishing and refinishing.
- Knowledge of different types of paints, stains, enamels, varnishes, and lacquers and their uses.
- Ability to use various tools and equipment related to the painting trade.
- Ability to work from heights (ladders, scaffolds, platforms), stand for long periods, and move heavy equipment, materials, structures and furniture.
- Outgoing personality, honesty, integrity, courteous and tactful at all times, kindness and respect toward others.
- Effective professional communication with employees and managers.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when using power tools.
- Wear sturdy work shoes with steel toe.
- Show up to work on time and follow the schedule.
- Understand and follow posted rules and procedures.
- Follow directions from a supervisor.
- Follow all OSHA and club safety regulations.
- Occasional standing, walking, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling or sitting up to eight hours per day.
- Use hands for gripping, handling or feeling objects, tools or controls.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Hearing and talking sufficient to communicate with members, guests, vendors and staff.
- Vision: close, distant, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Independent mobility throughout club property.
