Performs daily maintenance of the university fire alarm system. Pursuant to the State of Texas Executive Order No. GA-48, this position researches, works on, or has access to critical infrastructure and requires the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the University infrastructure. This position requires personnel be routinely reviewed to determine whether or not criminal history or continuous connections for the government or political apparatus of a foreign adversary might prevent the employee from being able to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure.
Responsibilities- Monitor, inspect and service fire alarm systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all fire alarm systems.
- Troubleshoot problems and repair fire alarm systems.
- Install and relocate devices on campus due to building remodeling.
- Participate in fire alarm testing.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
MQ: Requires specialized training in basic trades, principles, procedures, practice, routines or techniques in a specific area or trade which might normally be acquired through up to 18 months of education or training beyond the high school level. Vocational competence in the operation of mechanical or electronic equipment may be required.
Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
