Hunton Services, a division of the Hunton Group in Houston, TX, is seeking to hire an IES Technician (Indoor Environmental Solutions) who will be responsible for cleaning and servicing Air Handling Units (AHU). The IES Technician will have experience with light commercial HVAC systems and/or cleaning air duct systems and experience in AHU refurbishing.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain all duct‑cleaning equipment.
  • Access, remove, and clean air distribution components and equipment.
  • Sell ancillary products/services in conjunction with the performance of duct cleaning service.
  • Prepare all job‑related paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Maintain an organized and well‑stocked company vehicle.
  • Complete AHU refurbishing, which includes cleaning and sanitizing AHU, filtration upgrades, coating of the inside of AHU, and replacement of coils, motors, and bearings if needed.
  • Establish service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests.
  • Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques, recommending system improvements.
  • Keep personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Document service and cleaning actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Accomplish operations and organization mission by completing results as needed.
  • Follow and perform other instructions and related duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment; ability to use power and hand tools, thermometers, pressure gauges, and other testing devices to evaluate HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read operation and repair manuals for HVAC systems.
  • Ability to follow instructions and have strong mechanical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills required to interact with customers.
  • Mechanical experience is a plus.
  • Must have a good driving record.
Requirements
  • 2 years or more related experience; or equivalent education and experience.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Must be willing to submit to pre‑employment screening, including a criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Have a basic understanding of duct mechanics and how it affects indoor air quality.
  • Must be willing to work night shifts when needed.
