As an A&P Mechanic working on our Learjet Team, you will use sound judgment and technical aptitude to make decisions regarding maintenance, sequencing, and techniques, troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies. You will perform operational checks and engine runs to ensure air-worthiness prior to departure, working with a team of specialized A&P Mechanics maintaining midsized corporate Bombardier Learjet aircraft.
Responsibilities- Inspect aircraft in accordance with OEM Light or Heavy Maintenance Manuals
- Evaluate removed components for serviceability and document discrepancies (squawks)
- Reinstall and test components after completed inspection
- Troubleshoot and repair all airframe systems as required (hydraulics, landing gear, etc.)
- Document all work accomplished (sign-off) in a clear, concise, and accurate manner
- Accomplish Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directives as required
- Read and interpret maintenance manual procedures, blueprints, technical manuals, and schematic diagrams when required
- Analyze a variety of mechanical problems and determine the cause and best method of repair
- Test operation and repair/adjust engines, engine controls and accessories, propellers and controls, landing gear, hydraulic systems and servicing, and flight controls; adjust rigging as required
- Check and repair fuel, oil, oxygen, heating, cooling, and pressurization systems
- Utilize mechanics’ hand tools, precision measuring instruments, gauges, and calibration test equipment
- Prior experience inspecting, repairing, and maintaining Bombardier Learjet aircraft
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an A&P Mechanic
- A valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Minimum 3 years corporate aviation experience on Learjet
- Factory authorized training on Learjet (CAE, Flight Safety, etc.)
- Experience working on Lear 60s, 31s and/or 45s
