• Operate Vermeer HDDs 10X15 up to 24X40
• Perform weekly after‑hours and weekend on‑call work
• Conduct cable pulling and general labor tasks as needed
• Assist with HDD locating operations (HDL experience a plus)
• Execute underground construction tasks for gas projects, complying with city, county, and state clearance codes
• Travel to out‑of‑town assignments as required

• 3 years of experience operating Vermeer HDDs
• Valid driver’s license;
  Class A CDL license a plus
• Experience with different size Vermeer or Ditch Witch units
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

• Knowledge of utility industry safety practices and requirements
• Understanding of utility depths, placement practices, and procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to supervise a 2‑man crew independently
• Ability to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams for project build process
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to handle stressful situations and provide timely solutions
• Proficiency with computers, smartphones, and tablets

• Position requires occasional travel for out‑of‑town assignments
• Mandatory pre‑employment requirements: drug screen and background check (including Social Security Verification, Prior Employment Verification, Motor Vehicle Records, Personal and Professional References, Criminal History)

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
