Scaffold Builder - Austin Industrial (Houston, TX) - Nights

Scaffold Builder ResponsibilitiesThis person will construct, assemble, maintain, and dismantle tubular scaffolding or other temporary structures. The following essential duties and responsibilities are performed. Other duties may be assigned.
- Determine the type of scaffold needed.
- Inspect job site and all scaffold material for defects and safety hazards.
- Communicate safety hazards and mitigate avoidable hazards before construction of scaffolding.
- Transport tubular scaffold or other structural material and erect the scaffold to the required dimensions.
- Hoist scaffolding materials upward to erect the temporary structure.
- Secure and level locking sections of scaffolding material properly.
- Secure the scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability.
- Adhere to all OSHA, site-specific, and Austin Industrial requirements for erecting and navigation of the scaffolding.
- Perform a final inspection of completed scaffolding.
- Dismantle scaffolding when directed to do so.
- Inspect and properly stow scaffolding material after dismantling.
- Work at heights without fear.
- Other duties as assigned.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Experience: 3 years of experience in scaffolding is preferred.
- Certification/License: A valid TWIC Card and driver's license; NCCER is preferred but not required.
