Full job description Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Installation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background wit mechanical/electrical skills to read blueprints, assemble components, wire controls, and test systems for safety and code compliance. Duties involves physical work like lifting and working at heights to service and install ramps, stair lifts, platform lifts, patient lifts, vehicle lifts, elevators, and related accessibility equipment.

As an Installation Technician, you will play a crucial role in helping clients recover from unfortunate events by setting the homeowner at ease through your excellent customer service and detailed documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation:
Assemble, install, and wire elevators, platforms, and lifts according to technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturer specifications, often working in teams. Electrical & Mechanical:
Connect wiring, motors, and control panels; troubleshoot malfunctions in mechanical and electrical components; repair or replace parts. Testing & Safety:
Test newly installed equipment to ensure it meets safety codes and performance standards, verifying plumb, square, and functionality. Customer Service:
Communicate with homeowners, explain system operation, provide training on safety features, and maintain professional relationships. Site Management:
Manage daily workload, maintain a clean work area, use power/hand tools safely, and adhere to all safety protocols (PPE, ladder safety). Documentation:
Complete service reports, track work hours, and provide accurate back-reporting of activities. Essential Skills &

Qualifications:

Experience:

Proven hands-on experience with elevator/lift installation, electrical, or mechanical work. Technical:
Ability to read blueprints/wiring diagrams, use VOM/multimeters, understand electrical/mechanical systems. Physical:
Capable of lifting heavy parts (100-150 lbs), climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and t

Skills:

Strong problem-solving, communication, time management, and customer service skills. Education/License:
High school diploma/equivalent often required; state licensing or apprenticeships common. Work Environment:
Primarily residential homes, sometimes commercial settings. May involve working in confined spaces (shafts, machine rooms) or heights. Can require overtime and being on-call for emergency repairs. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week Benefits:
