Bilingual Juvenile Case Manager - Must reside in El Paso, TX Area
Safe Place is looking for a bilingual case manager in El Paso, TX to join our busy and growing team. The Case Manager will provide case management services to individuals under the jurisdiction of the Juvenile Court and Juvenile Services, assist juveniles and their families in developing behavior‑modification case plans, and identify approved rehabilitative services within and outside the community when necessary.
Responsibilities- Coordinate case management with schools; participate in the Admission, Review and Dismissal Committee (ARD); consult with teachers; and link with community agencies, service providers, and health services.
- Refer and coordinate therapeutic services to address mental/behavioral health and substance‑use issues, including trauma‑informed care involving extended family, school, peers, health services, and other agencies.
- Refer and coordinate psychiatric services with licensed psychiatrists in Texas.
- Provide crisis management: be accessible 24/7 for crisis calls, de‑escalate stressors, and connect families to appropriate therapeutic interventions.
- Prepare reports on service provider and program activities:
- Enter contact, case information and narratives into the management system within required time frames.
- Consolidate data to develop management reports identifying trends related to the assigned caseload.
- Complete incident reports and provide information to the agency and other staff according to established policies and procedures.
- Review cases to identify inefficiencies or lapses in services and report needed improvements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, psychology, criminal justice, theology, counseling, education, or nursing.
- At least two (2) years of work experience in juvenile justice, case management, juvenile supervision or probation, counseling, behavioral science, or a related field.
- Knowledge of community resources; case‑management principles, objectives, standards, and methods; and program policies and procedures.
- Skill in developing, implementing, and monitoring service and treatment plans.
- Ability to assess clients’ needs, coordinate services, monitor program effectiveness, communicate effectively, and supervise the work of others.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish (bilingual).
- Must pass a background check.
- Must have a valid Texas driver’s license with a clear record.
- Must have reliable daily vehicle usage, valid insurance, and registration.
- Must be available and willing to travel to various locations as business needs dictate.
