Software Engineering Manager

At Beyond Finance, our mission is to help everyday Americans escape debt and step into a brighter financial future. We’re looking for a forward‑thinking Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of 3‑5 engineers building the back‑end of our debt negotiation platform.

You’ll lead a Ruby on Rails team, designing and building internal APIs, asynchronous processing, and third‑party integrations using Ruby on Rails, Postgre

SQL, and AWS. You’ll set technical goals, drive roadmap delivery, and collaborate with dev‑ops, leadership, and client‑success teams.

• Design and build internal-facing APIs, asynchronous back‑end processing, and third‑party integrations using Ruby on Rails
• Collaborate with dev‑ops to ensure CI/CD on Circle
  
  CI and AWS meets growing needs
• Lead technical planning and roadmap delivery for client‑success operations
• Collaborate with leadership to produce and deliver the engineering roadmap
• Mentor engineers, sponsor appropriate projects to grow skillsets
• Provide constructive feedback via code reviews
• Identify and promote engineering best practices
• Advise leadership on technical feasibility and product decisions

• Experience managing engineering teams
• 5+ years building and deploying scalable cloud applications
• Hands‑on expertise with Ruby on Rails
• Expertise in scope large projects into small iterations for release
• Clear and efficient communication skills
• Mentorship skills and ability to give constructive feedback
• Experience in a startup environment is not required but preferred

$175,000—$195,000 USD, with annual bonus.
