Develop and lead the people, processes and technical direction across global engineering teams. Carry strategic responsibility for the performance, efficiency and leadership of the engineering teams in addition to the delivery of high-quality, robust, and scalable software to production on a regular basis.

• Plan and design the execution of the development, testing, deployment, and delivery of large-scale platform and mobile software applications. Develop global engineering leadership.
• Direct and inspire engineering leadership to design high-volume, high availability microservices in AWS to meet the business requirements. Drive tribe-level development methodology on a global scale.
• Partner with Product Management leadership to set product and development strategy and vision with an eye towards balancing productivity and customer experience.
• Advocate for engineering-led initiatives that improve speed, quality, agility, and developer experience. Ensure quality of technical solutions provided by the team.
• Deliver robust and scalable solutions, incorporating new technologies with a global mindset, as appropriate.
• Coach managers in both their technical and professional development. Identify and coordinate tribe training needs.
• Recruit, retain and develop exceptional engineering talent. Cultivate a positive company culture that values cross team collaboration and trust.
• Continuously optimize team and development processes. Define tribe-level policies and procedures, as necessary. Own tribe-level budgets.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent self-study.
• 10 years’ in management role leading a team of software engineers.
• 12 years of professional technical experience delivery software as part of a development team utilizing tools like React, Node.
  
  JS and/or Java in a cloud environment
• Understanding and practical application of development methodologies, test automation, and continuous integration strategies.
• Experience in an agile environment.
• Available for occasional international travel.

• Experience in a start-up environment.
• Experience mentoring and developing technical and functional skills of team members.
• Experience working with global teams.
