What You’ll Do
  • Architect, design, and develop scalable and performant full‑stack applications, leading the development of both front‑end (React/Next.js) and back‑end (Java/Node.js) components.
  • Back‑End Development (Java):
    Build and optimize Java‑based back‑end systems, including microservices, APIs, and databases. Ensure systems are scalable, performant, and maintainable.
  • Front‑End Development (React/Next.js):
    Develop dynamic, responsive, and interactive user interfaces.
  • Node.js Services:
    Design and implement efficient, event‑driven services using Node.js.
  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and stakeholders to deliver high‑quality software solutions.
  • Code Reviews & Best Practices:
    Participate in peer code reviews and enforce best practices for software development.
  • Performance Optimization:
    Optimize performance, including database queries, and address scaling issues.
  • Agile Methodology:
    Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • 8+ years total related experience.
  • Java: 8+ years of experience building scalable, enterprise‑level back‑end systems using Java (e.g., Spring Boot).
  • Node.js: 4+ years of experience developing server‑side applications with Node.js.
  • React/Next.js: 2+ years of experience.
  • Databases:
    Hands‑on experience with relational (Postgre

    SQL, MySQL) and No

    SQL (Mongo

    DB) databases.
  • Cloud & Dev Ops:
    Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • API Design:
    Expertise in designing and consuming RESTful APIs and third‑party APIs.
  • Unit Testing:
    Experience with automated testing frameworks and TDD.
  • Version Control:
    Proficiency in Git.
  • Agile Methodologies:
    Experience working in Agile teams.
  • Problem‑Solving & Leadership:
    Strong analytical skills.
  • Communication &

    Collaboration:

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily.
  • Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment.
  • Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, from our Houston, TX Corporate office location.
