About the Role:
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our backend-focused engineering team. You'll work on distributed systems that support solar energy operations, integrating with cloud services, building reliable APIs, and contributing to a modern CI/CD-driven development culture.
What You'll Do:
* Design and build RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI
* Work with AWS services including RDS, SQS, and S3
* Contribute to and maintain infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, Git Hub Actions, and Argo
* Collaborate closely with product and cross-functional engineering teams on technical design and delivery
* Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and team ritualsRequirements
* 6+ years of backend engineering experience, with strong Python skills
* Hands-on experience with FastAPI or a comparable async Python framework
* Comfort working in a containerized, cloud-native environment (AWS, Kubernetes)
* Strong communication skills and ability to work in a distributed team
* Bonus:
Experience with React or other frontend frameworks
