Software Engineer III (SAP-EAM Technical)
Assignment Details Duration: 12-month contract

Onsite, Houston, TX (5 days per week)
On-call:
Rotation for emergency issues outside business hours

Position Overview This position supports the SAP PM/SM and PS modules and provides technical expertise for projects, system enhancements, and production support. The engineer works closely with other SAP ABAP and configuration groups, including SAP-CCS, SAP-MM, SAP-FI, and SAP-BW. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Develop and enhance ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflow (RICEFW) in the EAM/PM, SM, and PS modules

Gather requirements with functional consultants, business analysts, and end users, analyze business processes, and propose technical solutions

Design and implement custom functionality, user exits, and enhancements that improve SAP performance and meet business goals

Debug and troubleshoot complex ABAP programs

Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and performance tuning of ABAP programs

Provide production support: troubleshoot to determine whether the fix is process, development/ABAP, security, or configuration

Join blueprinting and project design sessions when assigned, to understand business requirements and validate process approaches

Keep a good understanding of SAP technical concepts, releases, and patches, including applying OSS notes

Stay current on ABAP technologies and tools and recommend improvements

Collaborate with functional consultants, project managers, and technical teams to deliver quality SAP solutions on time and within budget

Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to peers, especially on PM-related components

Encourage new process and technology ideas that improve systems or workforce productivity while staying sensitive to service costs

Maintain partnerships with the client organization and with functional and IT team members

Take part in the on-call rotation for emergency issues outside business hours

Perform all work with a high degree of effectiveness, efficiency, and accuracy Experience
10+ years of SAP development experience in the PM, SM, and PS modules, with ABAP required

Experience maintaining the SAP technical infrastructure within ECCExperience with SAP web and integration technologies

Hands-on experience integrating SAP with external applications, such as web applications
