Syteline Developer

Job Summary: Design, development, implementation, and support of customizations, extensions, reports, and integrations for the Infor Syte Line (Cloud Suite Industrial) ERP system to support business processes and the analysis of business data. Responsible for development, testing, and timely delivery of requested Syte Line enhancements, Mongoose-based forms and applications, reports, and ERP integrations, following upgrade-safe development standards.

Essential Functions, Roles, and Responsibilities: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.

• Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs and regulations.
• Design and develop customizations and enhancements to Infor Syte Line using the Mongoose framework, including form personalization, Intelligent Data Objects (IDOs), IDO extension classes, user-extended tables/fields, and Application Event System (AES) events and workflows.
• Develop and maintain SQL Server stored procedures, functions, and views supporting Syte Line business logic, following Infor-supported, upgrade-safe customization practices.
• Build and support integrations between Syte Line and external applications (e.g., CRM, EDI, MES, quality, and financial systems) using IDO web services, Infor ION/ION API, BODs, and REST APIs.
• Create Syte Line reports, forms output, and business intelligence solutions (e.g., Syte Line Report Designer, and data extracts) to facilitate business data analysis.
• Interact with end users and business analysts to gather and refine requirements and recommend standard Syte Line functionality before customization.
• Provide clear, complete, and detailed technical documentation of Syte Line customizations, integrations, and reports.
• Perform thorough testing of Syte Line changes in Development and Test environments and manage promotion of customizations to Production through change control and source control.
• Troubleshoot and debug Syte Line forms, IDOs, background tasks, integrations, and performance issues.
• Support Syte Line data migration, conversion, and validation activities for ERP migration projects.
• Participate in Syte Line version upgrades and patches, including impact analysis, retrofitting, and regression testing of customizations.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education, Training, Experience: Bachelor’s degree (IT) from a four year college or university; three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Hands‑on Infor Syte Line (Cloud Suite Industrial) development experience strongly preferred.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: None required. Infor Syte Line/Cloud Suite Industrial or Mongoose training or certification preferred.

Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Strong working knowledge of the Infor Syte Line development toolset, including Mongoose Form Designer, IDOs, IDO extension classes, user-extended tables, and Application Event System (AES).
• Understanding of Syte Line data structures and core modules (e.g., Order Entry, Purchasing, Inventory, Production/Job Shop, Service, and Financials), including multi‑site configuration.
• Advanced skills in object‑oriented software design/development, specifically .NET (C#/) development for Syte Line IDO extension classes and form scripts.
• Advanced skills in MS SQL Server (T‑SQL) database development and performance analysis within the Syte Line database.
• Experience with Syte Line integration methods, including IDO web services/REST APIs, Infor ION, and Business Object Documents (BODs).
• Knowledge of upgrade‑safe customization practices and Syte Line environment management (Development, Test,…
