Ship Spares Coordinator – GAC Group
Join GAC North America - Logistics as a Ship Spares Operations Coordinator in Houston!
What You’ll Do:- Coordinate Operations:
Take charge of account‑specific activities and make a real impact on our daily ship spares operations. - Document Mastery:
Assist with document preparation and traffic coordination to streamline export shipments, all while keeping costs in check and adhering to our high standards. - Customer Champion:
Manage and exceed customer expectations using our SOPs, KPIs, and other metrics—your efforts will help us deliver exceptional service! - Complex Shipments:
Handle all foreign‑to‑foreign shipments, resolve OS&Ds, process POs, and assist with Material Receipts—no two days will be the same! - Quote Guru:
Provide clients with quotes and cost estimates to ensure smooth funding for vessel port calls. - Export Operations Support:
Prepare essential commercial documents to support our export processes. - Shipment Tracker:
Keep a watchful eye on shipments from departure to arrival, keeping clients informed every step of the way. - Customer Relations:
Respond to orders, inquiries, and complaints with professionalism and a smile! - Accounting Accuracy:
Maintain vendor invoices and purchase orders, ensuring everything is processed efficiently and accurately. - Safety and Compliance:
Uphold our company policies on HSSE and Compliance—your commitment keeps us all safe!
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum three (3) years within freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain industry. Experience with export documentation preparation as per destination country requirements and regulations.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to think and respond quickly to customer service issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint), internet, web‑based and job specific software applications.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
