Fleet Coordinator
Hunton Services, a division of the Hunton Group in Houston, TX, is seeking to hire a Fleet Coordinator who will oversee the maintenance, coordination, and operation of the company's fleet of vehicles.
This role ensures that vehicles are operated in a safe, efficient, and cost‑effective manner. The Fleet Coordinator will work closely with our lease partner to maintain vehicle records and manage maintenance costs. Other duties as needed.
Responsibilities- Oversee routine maintenance and repair schedules for all vehicles.
- Ensure all vehicles meet legal and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with repair shops or in‑house mechanics to ensure timely and cost‑effective repairs.
- Maintain records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure vehicles are equipped with necessary supplies and safety equipment.
- Plan and organize vehicle routes and schedules to maximize efficiency.
- Ensure proper use of fleet vehicles and manage the vehicle assignment process.
- Collaborate with the Financial Manager on fleet budget including fuel, repairs, insurance, and maintenance.
- Analyze fleet operation costs and identify areas for cost‑saving initiatives.
- Oversee leasing of new vehicles and disposal of older ones as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain and communicate accurate records for each lease vehicle (registration, insurance, inspections, maintenance history, etc.).
- Ensure all drivers adhere to safety protocols, driving regulations, and company policies.
- Participate in and conduct safety meetings to provide insight into vehicle operations, road safety and emergency procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience managing 350+ fleet vehicles or logistics.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, safety regulations, and fleet management software.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
- Ability to handle budgeting, cost analysis, and reporting.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Familiarity with GPS tracking and fleet management software.
- Knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Experience managing a fleet.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel spreadsheets.
