About the RoleThis is a full‑time delivery role with the office based in South Houston, TX. Responsibilities include the timely and safe delivery of primarily Dry Ice and CO2 in high‑pressure cylinders to restaurants, bars, and hospitals around the Greater Houston area. You will be responsible for loading and unloading your truck, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and ensuring the safe handling of hazardous materials.
You will also be the face of the company to most customers, so a professional appearance with a smiling, good attitude is a must.
- Timely & safe delivery of primarily Dry Ice and CO2 in high‑pressure cylinders.
- Loading and unloading your truck.
- Ensuring the safe handling of hazardous materials.
- Being the face of the company to most customers.
- Valid, current, clean driver’s license.
- Pass background check, no felony convictions or pending charges, no drug charges.
- Ability to lift and move 60 lbs. items repeatedly throughout the day.
- Must communicate with dispatch when unusual problems crop up.
- Ability to smile & be nice to the customer, even if they, or you, are having a bad day.
- Ability to work independently.
- Experience in delivery or logistics.
- Familiarity with handling hazardous materials.
- Knowledge of electronic invoicing.
Depending on your experience, you’ll start between $20 and $23 / hour. We have a 90‑day probationary period; if you are a good fit, then you’ll receive your first raise after those 90 days. After the probationary period, Carbonics provides AFLAC coverage. As a small family‑owned company, we are easy to work with for time off and vacation days.
