Distribution Teammate - Equipment Operator at Owens & Minor. Responsibilities and qualifications for this role are described below. This position is open for all shifts.

• Receiving:
  Unloads pallets and cases from inbound trailers and/or containers manually using the pallet jack; accurately counts, verifies, and receives product using RF equipment and/or Voice Pick Technology; documents variances.
• LUM Picking:
  Selects products and quantities as directed by Voice Pick Technology and/or RF scanner and places items into totes on conveyor belt; removes empty cartons from pick module as needed.
• Sortation:
  Prepares sortation area by setting up pallets and carts for product; moves cartons and totes from conveyor belts/rollers and places on pallets or carts according to batch.
• Loading:
  Uses RF scanner to ensure that totes, pallets, and carts are loaded correctly onto trucks for customer delivery; uses pallet jack to load pallets.
• General requirements:
  Follows procedures, maintains a safe and clean work environment, follows safety policies, places incoming merchandise into inventory, conducts physical inventories, counts and performs basic math, maintains productivity and quality standards, performs additional duties as directed.

• General knowledge of basic topics (math, reading, basic accounting, typing, etc.)
• Prior experience working in a warehouse/distribution center is a plus
• Warehouse/Operations certification is a plus

• Ability to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment and meet performance standards
• Good attention to detail
• Dependable with regular punctual attendance
• Willingness to learn to use new material handling equipment and WMS technology
• Adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures for safety

Salary and benefits:
The anticipated pay range for this role is $17/hr owens & Minor offers benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401(k) after one year, employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
