Bilingual Warehouse Associate – 2nd Shift

Openwork is hiring an experienced Bilingual Warehouse Associate for an established steel distribution company in Houston, TX 77041
.

This hands-on position focuses on pulling customer orders, loading and unloading materials, operating forklifts and overhead cranes, and supporting daily warehouse operations.

Qualified candidates must have at least 2 years of warehouse, material handling, or related industrial experience. Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, or similar equipment is preferred. Steel industry experience is a plus but not required.

• Pull and prepare customer orders using pick tickets.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials.
• Load, unload, and organize warehouse materials.
• Verify material sizes, quantities, grades, and heat numbers.
• Handle structural steel, pipes, and steel plates.
• Assist with cutting materials using saws and other equipment.
• Measure materials using tape measures and micrometers.
• Verify order accuracy and complete required paperwork.
• Maintain clean and organized warehouse areas.
• Follow equipment safety and workplace procedures.

• Minimum 2 years of warehouse, material handling, or related industrial experience required.
• Forklift, overhead crane, or similar equipment experience preferred.
• Bilingual communication skills required.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Steel warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.
• Experience loading, unloading, and moving heavy materials.
• Ability to read pick tickets and use basic measuring tools.
• Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Dependable attendance and strong teamwork skills.
• Comfortable working in an industrial warehouse environment.
• Must be available for short-notice or last-minute overtime.
• Ability to meet pre-employment background and drug/alcohol screening requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
