LK Jordan is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk for a client in the Houston area. This temp-to-hire opportunity is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills who enjoys working in a manufacturing environment and can help ensure materials and shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. The selected candidate will begin as a temporary employee through LK Jordan, with the opportunity to transition to permanent employment with client based on attendance, performance, and business needs.

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging, labeling, and organizing materials.
• Verify quantities, part numbers, and shipping documentation for accuracy.
• Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
• Move materials to designated storage areas and production departments.
• Coordinate with warehouse and production personnel to ensure materials are available when needed.
• Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments.
• Assist with inventory counts and material tracking.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area.
• Follow company safety procedures and material-handling guidelines.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.

• Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and understand packing slips, labels, and shipping documents.
• Basic computer skills and accurate data-entry abilities.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as required.
• Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the workday.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Forklift experience is a plus, if required for the position.
• Manufacturing or metal fabrication experience is beneficial but not required.

The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. They should be able to manage incoming and outgoing materials, maintain accurate records, and support production operations while meeting daily deadlines.
