Position:
Kids Care Staff [Before & After School Childcare] (Positions will be hired via EDUStaff)
Location:
Howell Public Schools - Kids’ Kare Locations
Duration: 12 months
Hours: 5.25 hours/day, ~26-27 hours/week;
Monday through Friday; 6:30 AM - 9:00 AM & 3:15 PM - 6:00 PM
Increased hours and changed schedule during summer months.
Wage Rate: $15.50/hour or more based upon experience/education and/or certification
Benefits: Paid time off including holidays, vacation and Act of God Days
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must maintain a positive and professional attitude.
- Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing and program guidelines.
- Supervise children as directed.
- Must work well with others.
- Have caring, patient, flexible demeanor.
- Regular, predictable in-person attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Experience working with children.
- Customer service experience.
- Qualifications/certification to substitute in any of the Early Childhood Programs preferred (Preschool, Childcare, Kids Kare).
- Infant/Child/Adult First Aid/CPR Certificate required within 90 days of hire.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from parents, administrators, students, staff and the general public consistent with the duties of this position.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence.
- Must have phone skills and communicate with people over the phone.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

The work environment is normally indoors with controlled climate conditions.
