Teacher of Record Interventionist (“TOR Interventionist”) (BK-5)
Summary - TOR Interventionist (BK-5):
The TOR Interventionists (BK-5) work with HV Paideia Learning students in grades BK-5 onsite. TOR Interventionists work with the course content and collaborate directly with Paideia lab instructors to provide instructional support for students and assess student learning. TOR Interventionists are responsible for reporting outcomes in relation to student grading/auditing. TOR Interventionists work with the HV Paideia Lead Teacher and Paideia staff to administer screening assessments, schedule intervention groups, and provide Tier 2 support to students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - TOR Interventionist (BK-5):
- Forms relationships with elementary students.
- Utilizes the HV Paideia Learning LMS (Learning Management System) to access all student materials and work.
- Works with the HV Paideia Learning lab instructors to review course content and assignments.
- Submits finalized grades for all students to Howell Public Schools.
- Works with a Howell Public Schools case coordinator for any special education HV Paideia Learning student.
- Works with Howell Public Schools to develop and implement 504 plans.
- Works with the HV Paideia Lead Teacher and Paideia staff to administer screening assessments, schedule intervention groups, and provide Tier 2 support to students.
- Regular in-person attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Pupil Accounting Mentor (‘Mentor”) (BK-5)
Summary - Mentor (BK-5):
The Mentors facilitate communication among HPS TORs, Paideia staff, HV Paideia Learning families, the HV Paideia Learning Lead Teacher, and the HVS Lead Administrator. Mentors monitor student progress in courses and support students staying on course with the pace of the class. Mentors also communicate concerns for students directly with the Paideia leadership team. Mentors support students through monitoring and communication.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Mentor (BK-5):
- Monitors student progress in the HV Paideia Learning courses.
- Communicates with HPS TORs, Paideia staff, HV Paideia Learning families, the HV Paideia Learning Lead Teacher, and the HVS Lead Administrator.
- Supports and documents state required two-way communication with students.
- Follows pupil accounting requirements to support count day for Howell Public Schools as determined by the Howell Public School pupil accounting staff member.
- Regular in-person attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Valid Michigan Teaching certificate and Bachelor's degree,
- Demonstration of leadership ability in past teaching, administrative assignments and/or building/District level committee work.
