We are seeking a full‑time Special Education Teacher to join our team. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for providing instruction and support to students with special needs, ensuring that they receive appropriate educational services and accommodations.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties:
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that meet the curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Develop assessments and evaluate student performance through various methods, including tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Deliver direct instruction to students in various settings, including small groups and co‑taught classrooms, using evidence‑based strategies tailored to students' learning profiles.
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities, including academic, behavioral, and social‑emotional interventions.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and other school staff to ensure that students with special needs are included in all aspects of school life.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction and interventions as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of student progress and services provided.
- Stay up‑to‑date on best practices and research related to special education and disabilities.
- Participate in school activities, meetings, and events to contribute to the overall mission of the institution.
- Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students.
- Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and school staff.
- Regular and predictable attendance.

- Be able to perform first aid/CPR if necessary
- Assist/lift students, as necessary
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education. Master’s degree is a plus.
