- Perform installation, modification, and repair of aircraft sheet metal components, sub‑assemblies, and structures.
- Fabricate replacement parts using sheet metal forming, bending, cutting, and riveting techniques.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and structural repair manuals (SRMs).
- Carry out structural inspections and identify damage, corrosion, or fatigue‑related issues.
- Repair or replace damaged skins, frames, stringers, spars, ribs, and bulkheads as required.
- Install rivets, fasteners, and other hardware using proper tools and torque specifications.
- Ensure all work complies with FAA regulations, company maintenance manuals, and engineering instructions.
- Collaborate with engineering and QA to verify structural conformity and airworthiness.
- Document maintenance activities accurately and maintain records in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area while adhering to all safety protocols.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required.
- Minimum of 2‑5 years of aircraft sheet metal fabrication or repair experience (Part 23, Part 25, or military aircraft preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of aircraft materials, alloys, and structural repair methods.
- Proficiency with hand tools, pneumatic tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings and structural repair data.
- Familiarity with corrosion prevention and structural integrity inspection techniques.
- Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and adherence to quality standards.
- Ability to work independently or within small teams to meet production and maintenance schedules.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Experience with composite repair in aviation or defence industries.
- Familiarity with UAS or aircraft structural components.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (U.S. Person status not required).
- Ability to obtain necessary work authorization or export‑control approvals, as applicable.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport for potential travel.
- Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
