Overview
The Calibration Technician – Level 2 (Force, Torque) is a critical role position, located in Hartland, Michigan, requires up to 50% local travel to perform on‑site calibrations for customers. The technician will work in our calibration laboratory and customer facilities, ensuring accurate and reliable calibration services for a broad range of instrumentation.
Responsibilities- Perform calibrations on medium to high level test and measurement instrumentation such as electronics, force, load cells, torque transducers, pressure, and temperature devices.
- Calibrate equipment in the laboratory and at various local customer facilities.
- Utilize troubleshooting, repair, and calibration knowledge to service unique equipment.
- Maintain customer satisfaction through high quality calibration services.
- Create and verify calibration data sheets, ensuring technical content and accuracy per specifications and approved procedures.
- Military training (PMEL, TMDE, or Electronics) or an AS degree in a technical field such as electronics, or equivalent education, training and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years experience calibrating equipment in a commercial or military calibration laboratory.
- Experience calibrating disciplines including electronics, force/load cells, torque transducers, pressure, and temperature.
- Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), internet research, and database management.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to multi‑task and prioritize workload.
- Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z‑540‑1, and ISO 9000.
- Experience using calibration software such as LabVIEW, Sure‑Cal, Met/Cal, etc.
