Job Responsibilities

Resolute ISR is seeking an experienced Composite Technician to support the fabrication, assembly, and repair of composite aircraft structures and related components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in composite lay‑up and repair techniques, coupled with aircraft maintenance knowledge to support both production and field operations.

  • Fabricate, assemble, and repair composite aircraft structures using carbon fiber, fiberglass, Kevlar, and other advanced materials.
  • Perform structural repairs on airframes and components in accordance with FAA and company maintenance procedures.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and work orders to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Prepare molds, lay up composite plies, vacuum bag assemblies, and perform curing using ovens or autoclaves.
  • Conduct damage assessments, perform bonded and mechanically fastened repairs, and verify repair quality.
  • Mix and apply adhesives, fillers, and coatings to restore surface integrity.
  • Operate precision cutting, sanding, drilling, and finishing tools safely and effectively.
  • Document work performed and ensure traceability in accordance with maintenance and quality control procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and QA teams to ensure structural conformity and mission readiness.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant workspace.
  • Support development, modification, and field repair of aircraft structures as required.
Job Requirements
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certificate in composites or aircraft structures preferred.
  • 2‑5 years of hands‑on composite fabrication and repair experience (aerospace or UAS preferred).
  • Proficiency in lay‑up, vacuum bagging, bonding, and curing of composite assemblies.
  • Knowledge of thermoset and thermoplastic materials, resin systems, and bonding techniques.
  • Familiarity with the use of precision measuring tools, cutting instruments, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small, high‑performance team in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
  • Experience with composite repair in aviation or defense industries.
  • Familiarity with UAS or aircraft structural components.
Additional Requirements
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (U.S. Person status not required).
  • Ability to obtain necessary work authorization or export‑control approvals, as applicable.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport for potential travel.
  • Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
