Supervise, instruct and motivate the team to meet or exceed departmental goals and objectives. Maintain broad knowledge of principles and practices of the field. May supervise or lead one or more functional areas and accomplish any work assignments directed by management.

• Administer company policies, procedures and practices consistently.
• Initiate coaching and problem‑solving activities that maintain productive relationships with associates.
• Be accessible to associates and respond to concerns, complaints, problems and suggestions in a reasonable time.
• Use leadership and motivational techniques to sustain a productive and satisfied department work group.
• Select, train and develop associates through skill assessment and coordination of training resources.
• Plan and execute daily activities according to departmental production requirements.
• Plan short‑term activities to meet departmental goals and objectives.
• Manage efficient utilization of manpower, equipment and materials to promote safety, housekeeping, quality and reduce scrap.
• Maintain/improve customer service through participation in CRRF, 8‑D, concern summary resolution teams and correct implementation of ECN’s and ISO processes.
• Develop and initiate timely, accurate and cost‑effective improvement plans utilizing associate resources.
• Plan and execute company initiatives (TPM, suggestion program, etc.).

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Associate’s degree or enrollment in a program toward an associate’s degree (preferred).
• Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
• General knowledge of personal computers (MS Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint; ERP system).

• Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours or more.
• Occasional lifting, climbing, carrying, pulling, gripping, grasping, twisting, bending, stooping and reaching throughout the day.
• Hand and eye coordination.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport.
• Travel within the US and Canada up to 25 % (usually throughout SE Michigan).

• Office and manufacturing environment.
