Base Pay Range$50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year.
Primary Job FunctionEfficient conversion of customer demand into production and/or shipping requirements in a JIT environment; review and analysis of production and/or shipping data; continuous improvement activities. Represent department on launches and other major special project teams. Accomplish any and all work assignments as directed by management. Regular attendance is required.
Key Areas of Responsibility- Scheduling:
- Ship Scheduling:
Assure accurate customer demand data within computer-based planning system, determine and arrange truckload scheduling to assure JIT delivery to customer, monitor customer shipments and inventory levels to ensure compliance with minimum inventory levels, on-time delivery to customers. - Press Scheduling:
Convert customer demand into press schedules, develop and distribute raw material supplier releases to support production schedule, monitor assembly requirements, customer shipments and inventory levels to ensure compliance with minimum inventory levels, distribute schedules as needed. - Assembly Scheduling:
Convert customer demand into assembly schedules, develop and distribute raw material supplier releases to support production schedule, monitor customer shipments and inventory levels to ensure shipping compliance with minimum inventory levels, distribute schedules as needed. - Raw Material Scheduling:
Convert customer demand into raw material schedules, develop and distribute raw material supplier releases to support production schedule.
- Ship Scheduling:
- Maintain all computer‑based planning files and databases as required.
- Facilitate ECN implementation and coordination.
- Represent department on appropriate launch or other major special project teams.
- Review, develop and manage all activities related to production capacity management.
- Produce planning reports, analysis and illustrations as required.
- Associate’s degree (AS) or equivalent training.
- Two years’ experience in Planning or 3+ years’ experience in Materials department using ERP/MRP system, or 5+ years’ experience with ERP/MRP system in production or related area.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills.
- Able to perform standard and routine functions with limited supervision.
- Must have a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Ability to successfully use negotiation skills.

- Frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs. and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional lifting, climbing, carrying, pulling, gripping, grasping, twisting, bending, stooping and reaching throughout the work day.
- Hand and eye coordination.
- Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time (8 hours or more).
- Ability to use a phone and computer keyboard.
- Ability to work in office and manufacturing environment.
