Healthcare Nursing, RN Nurse
Position Purpose
Registered Nurse (RN) position supporting the Trinity Health Brighton Emergency Department (ED). This is a full‑time, 12‑hour shift (6:45 PM–7:15 AM) scheduled 24 hours per week, with weekend and holiday rotation. The ED is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, caring for patients ranging from minor illnesses/injuries to major, life‑threatening or traumatic medical and surgical problems. Practice in a department staffed with board‑certified or board‑eligible emergency physicians.
WhatYou Will Do
- Under limited supervision, assess patients, develop, evaluate, and modify the care plan, and interpret and perform complex patient‑care procedures specific to your expertise.
- Collaborate with the Care Team and Support Team, acting as a team member to achieve patient outcomes identified in the pathway/plan of care.
- Assume responsibility and accountability for the care given to a group of patients for a designated time frame.
- Provide care via therapeutic self‑use, the nursing process, the environment/technology, and other healthcare team members, in accordance with established standards.
- Serve all age groups, from infant to older adults, as identified in performance standards.
- Current Michigan nursing license.
- Graduated from an accredited nursing program; effective January 1 2013, all new hires must have a BSN degree or agree in writing to obtain the BSN within five (5) years from the date of hire.
