Job DescriptionThe Sales Associate role is integral to our store’s success and efficiency. The associate upholds Coach s Service and Selling Models, creates a positive first impression, builds ongoing customer relationships through a personalized experience, and leaves a lasting, positive impact.
Responsibilities Sales Floor- Understands organizational objectives and makes decisions that align with company priorities.
- Takes ownership and commits to delivering results while monitoring personal and store metrics.
- Creates short‑ and long‑term strategies to achieve personal metrics and performance goals.
- Takes ownership of survey results and develops improvement plans.
- Represents Coach as a brand ambassador and demonstrates selling and service expectations at all times.
- Understands local market changes that may impact performance and supports local sales strategies.
- Drives business through sales strategies, clienteling, sourcing new customers, and maintaining productive relationships.
- Creates positive impressions by presenting consistent attire with Coach’s Guide to Style.
- Builds credibility as a personal fashion advisor through product knowledge and awareness of competition.
- Provides in‑depth product knowledge, current pricing, and promotional strategy.
- Discusses product features and builds sales with cross‑selling skills.
- Cross‑sells and encourages beneficial add‑ons aligned with customer needs.
- Tailors approach based on customer cues and attends to each customer’s unique needs.
- Works with multiple customers simultaneously and prioritizes as needed.
- Follows up with customers to influence/close the sale.
- Adapts selling techniques to support overall store financial results.
- Builds lasting and loyal relationships and leverages Coach’s tools and technology.
- Creates enthusiasm and positivity for the team mission and endorses a team‑selling environment.
- Fosters teamwork, trust, and collaboration with internal and external customers.
- Maintains solution‑oriented, adaptable behavior and welcomes feedback.
- Maintains a calm and professional demeanor at all times.
- Ensures all daily tasks are completed without negative impact on service or standards.
- Completes daily operational tasks including maintaining store (sales floor and backroom), cash wrap, and visual merchandising consistently.
- Maintains a clean and tidy selling floor.
- Adheres to all applicable retail policies and procedures.
- Replenishes inventory on the sales floor as needed and supports the inventory process.
- Supports cash‑wrap and processes purchases, returns, and exchanges efficiently.
- Prepares store by organizing functional areas, performing routine cleaning, and maintaining visual merchandising expectations.

1–3 years of sales experience in a luxury retail environment and knowledge of fashion trends.
EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
Technical SkillsKnowledge of cash register systems, basic computer skills (iPad, laptop, Mobile POS), walkie‑talkie use, and reading price sheets.
Physical RequirementsFast pace, effective communication, maneuvering of sales floor and stock room, lifting up to 50 lb when necessary.
ScheduleFlexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and high‑traffic sales days.
