As a Delivery Driver, you are primarily responsible for delivering and unloading grocery products. You also perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections of your vehicle using knowledge of safe and effective loading and handling procedures.

• Comply with FMCSA regulations.
• Deliver and unload products using equipment such as tractor‑trailer, ramps, lift gates, pallet jacks, load bars, and other devices.
• Operate the vehicle safely within UNFI guidelines, minimizing accidents, traffic violations, and complaints from the public.
• Report any accident immediately to the Transportation Manager/Department.
• Keep vehicles well maintained, safe, and secure; report any defects promptly using a DCVR form.
• Pick up supplies and back hauls from vendors while completing related paperwork.
• Address and resolve customer problems as appropriate.
• Ensure customer orders arrive in quality condition and correspond precisely to the initial order.
• Communicate professionally with customers and vendors.

• Valid medical card as prescribed by the Federal Motor Carrier Administration and a valid state‑specific Commercial Driver’s License (Class
  
  A).
• Ability to pass a written exam and road test.
• Basic knowledge of Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and mandates and understanding of UNFI’s safety standards.
• Good judgment, as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
