About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Mechanical Engineer to lead and supervise two manufacturing factory units located in Howrah. The role involves end-to-end responsibility for production, quality assurance, and coordination with marketing to ensure high-volume output while maintaining strict quality standards.

Key Responsibilities :

- Head and supervise operations of two mechanical manufacturing factory setups in Howrah.
- Plan, manage, and monitor production in terms of volume, numbers, timelines, and efficiency.
- Ensure strict quality control and compliance with railway manufacturing standards.
- Oversee manufacturing of railway components including wagon planks, wagon brake components, wagon liners, and locomotive liners.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to align production output with market demand and client requirements.
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce wastage, and optimize costs.
- Manage manpower, machine utilization, and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety norms, statutory regulations, and industry best practices.
- Prepare production reports and provide regular updates to management.

Required Skills &

Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes and production planning.
- Hands-on experience in railway components manufacturing or heavy engineering industry.
- Leadership and team management skills with the ability to handle multi-unit operations.
- Sound understanding of quality control, inspection techniques, and industry standards.
- Ability to coordinate between production and marketing functions.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of machine maintenance, tooling, and process optimization.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and statutory compliance.
- Good communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.

Qualification:

- Bachelors / Diploma / Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3-5 years of minimum relevant industry experience.
