Ellwood Aluminum is expanding. We are moving to a 24/7 operation and hiring hard‑working individuals! As a family‑owned company, we hire, pay, and promote based on performance and experience. For individuals with heavy‑manufacturing experience, wages can start up to $24.00/hr we also have a night differential that is $2.00/hr on top of the regular hourly wage.
If you have little or no experience but want a career in one of the fastest‑growing companies in the area, our starting wage is $17.50/hr (also with an opportunity for the $2.00/hr night‑shift differential).

Finishing Operator ResponsibilitiesThe Finishing Operator is responsible for operating finishing equipment to prepare aluminum product for shipping. You will learn to safely operate homogenizing furnaces and cooling chambers, and to use band saws, lathes, and other equipment in the Finishing area. The Finishing Operator will receive cast product from upstream production and follow the product routing to produce and ship a finished product.
ShiftsMost of our shifts are continental and are 12‑hour shifts, either steady days or steady nights: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on – THEN 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off, and the rotation starts again. It is a perfect shift for individuals who want work‑life balance. You work approximately 17 days a month and get two 3‑day weekends off in every rotation.
Your schedule does not change unless you move to another shift or department.

- Must pass a minimal physical test and background screening
- Candidates must be able to work their shift (will need to specify what the shifts are)
- Physical effort required includes standing, stooping, pulling, pushing, climbing and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to cross‑train
- Ability to identify problems, inform others, and assist in solving such problems
- Judgment and decision‑making abilities to prevent errors, scrap parts, safety hazards, or other poor results pertaining to job duties
- Ability to read and interpret work documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, quality instructions, and other related documents
- Ability to work with others as a team
