Are you an ambitious Semi Senior Accountant looking to develop your career within a progressive and supportive accountancy practice?

Our client is a well-established and growing regional firm of accountants with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality advice to owner-managed businesses and private clients. As the firm continues to expand, they are looking to appoint a Semi Senior Accountant to join their busy Huddersfield office.

Working closely with Managers and Partners, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Assisting with the management of a portfolio of clients.
• Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Completing personal tax returns.
• Preparing partnership accounts and tax returns.
• Preparing quarterly VAT returns.
• Carrying out bookkeeping using a range of cloud accounting software.
• Supporting clients with their accounting systems and software.
• Attending client meetings and building strong working relationships with business owners.
• Assisting in the training and development of junior team members.
• Supporting with company secretarial work, payroll and P11
  
  Ds where required.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Experience preparing accounts for a range of business entities.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping, VAT and personal taxation.
• Experience using software such as Xero, Quick Books, Sage or IRIS would be advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise workloads effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to client service.
• AAT qualified, studying towards ACA or ACCA, or a relevant accounting degree with plans to continue your professional studies.
