Semi Senior Accountant - Huddersfield
An established regional accountancy practice is looking to recruit a Semi Senior Accountant to join its Huddersfield office. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to further develop their technical skills while supporting a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses and individual clients.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients.
- Assist in managing a portfolio of business clients.
- Prepare statutory accounts and interim management accounts.
- Prepare personal tax returns, partnership accounts and partnership tax returns.
- Complete quarterly VAT returns.
- Support client meetings and liaise with directors and business owners.
- Assist with the training and development of junior team members.
- Undertake general accountancy and administrative duties as required.
- Company secretarial, payroll and P11D experience would be advantageous.
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience within an accountancy practice.
- Experience using accounting software such as Sage 50, Xero, Quick Books, IRIS or Sage Business Cloud would be beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Professional, proactive and self-motivated approach.
- Studying towards AAT, ACA or ACCA, or educated to degree level in a relevant subject.
